The replacement was easy and this filter does its job. Highly recommended!

All in all I'm happy with the filter, however, the last time I needed to purchase one, they were out-of-stock everywhere with no notation on the website as to when they would be available again. This makes me nervous as to what might happen in the future if this filter becomes unavailable for good. Now I know to always have a back-up ready. The new filter I recently purchased looks different from what is pictured on the website as well as what I previously purchased. It looks as if the filter components don't quite fill the container, which makes me wonder if all the water is actually processing through the different filters.

All in all, the filter does a great job, and I'm happy with the countertop filter. My concern, and the reason why there are only 4 starts, is that when I needed to replace the filter, there were none to be found. Anywhere. I don't know who manufactures the filters for iSpring, but there was quite a shortage. The iSpring website was not up-to-date, which meant having to contact someone through email to find out when the filters would be available. The date I was given was not correct, but those things happen. Once the filters became available, I purchased two and will do a better job of making sure I always have one in stock. But I do worry about what happens when/if this filter is no longer available from wherever/whomever makes it.
