How to Eliminate Common Well Water Particles

Posted On 05/28/2021 By iSpring Water Systems

Drinking well water has a lot of natural benefits including high mineral content that can improve both your health and the taste of your water. Not all the particles found in your well water are good for you though. Well water is commonly affected by iron, magnesium, and hydrogen sulfide that naturally leach into the water source from rocks and soil. While in small quantities these particles do not negatively affect your water, in large enough quantities the hydrogen sulfide will create a rotten egg smell and the iron and manganese can create rust in your water, ruining your appliances, and leaving brown and black specks on your laundry and in your bathtub.

How to take control of your water health?

When you use well water for your water supply you are responsible for the regular testing and treating of your water. But vigilantly maintaining the quality of your water can become expensive and it's easy to put it off. Something you’ll get to later when you have more time...but you never seem to have more time.

iSpring believes that you shouldn’t have to worry about your water quality. We have several whole house iron filter options that will keep you and your family safe from possible water contamination.

Their most comprehensive solution is the iSpring WCFM500K Iron, Manganese, and Hydrogen Sulfide Whole House Water filter. The WCFM500K is an easy set-it-and-forget-it solution. The filter system lasts for up to 10 years and has an automated backwashing feature that allows the filter to self-clean, resulting in no maintenance on your part. It removes iron up to 12 ppm and removes manganese and hydrogen sulfide up to 20 ppm.
If you don’t mind spending some time changing filters throughout the year, the iSpring WGB series is also an effective filter for removing iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide.

The iSpring WGB21BM and WGB22BM are very similar filtration systems with the primary difference being capacity. The WGB22BM can filter up to 100,000 gallons of water before the filters need to be changed whereas the WGB21BM needs to be changed after 50,000 gallons of water have passed through the filters. Both systems also remove chlorine, pesticides, herbicides, industrial solvents and various other contaminants and both filters are tested by an independent third-party to meet NSF/ANSI standards.

The iSpring WGB32BM is very similar to the WGB22BM but has an additional PP sediment filter that removes sediments, sand, and large particles.

Many well water sources suffer from large amounts of rust or sediment and will want to add a sediment filter or spin-down filter. The iSpring WSP-50, WSP50GR, or WSP50ARB should be installed before your whole house filter to remove the majority of large particles before the source water passes through the other stages of the filtration process. This added layer of protection will help your whole house filters work more efficiently and save them from excessive wear and tear.

Unlike an RO system, these whole house water filtration systems will NOT reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and instead keep healthy minerals in your whole house water supply. If you are interested in reducing TDS in your drinking water, you can consider our reverse osmosis water system under the sink, such as RCC7, RCC7AK-UV, RCC7AK, RO500, etc.

All of iSpring’s products are easy to install and have peace of mind customer service with an 1-year manufacturer warranty and life-time free tech support for the U.S. local support team.

Advantages Of These Solutions

  • ● Easy to install.
  • ● Eliminates pink rust rings on your bathtub, sink, and toilet.
  • ● Eliminates bad odors, tastes, and prevents rust from forming in your water
