Update: We still love it! We change the filters once a year! On our 3rd set and going great. We have had this filter installed now for about 5 months and we absolutely love it. I have a family of five and we live in a five bathroom home with 1 kitchen and a bar. We have well water on our homestead and we installed the 1 Inch Rusco / Vu-Flow 100 Mesh Spin Down Sediment Water Filter as directed in the instructions to help with filter maintenance. I did upgrade the filter cartridge in the 1 inch Rusco with the 200 mesh (74 mic) for 3/4 or 1" Spin-Down to handel Fine Sediment. This allows us to catch and wash away the larger particles in the water without clogging up the 5 micron 1st stage filter of the iSpring. We often have 2 showers going with a load of laundry and the dishwasher going. To this date we have not experienced a loss of water pressure. Our water is so much better now, it smells better, taste better and just looks cleaner. I feel good about letting this device treat the water for my family.

This has worked well, water is now clear, but we are having an issue with slight leakage from sediment filter canister, where you screw in the canister there are fingers that stick down to center the filter, they cut into the filter causing pieces to tear off which interfere with a proper seal.

I am on well water. Installation was pretty much what I expected. I verified that the screws inside the metal head that hold the red buttons in place we’re not loose. I mounted the unit directly to the wall but didn’t like the way is sagged a bit (it’s heavy). So I drilled a couple of holes in the metal frame and added hooks, chains, and turnbuckles that I got from the hardware store. The turnbuckles allowed me to level the unit and support the weight evenly. I couldn’t decide whether to use shark bite fittings with compression rings or the slip fit style so I bought both and tried them both. I quickly decided that the slip fit was way better even though the cost was more. Not one single leak from the compression fittings and I had to remove and reinstall them a couple of times to get the routing the way I wanted (with the UV Sterilizer). I did have a couple of drips from the fittings that screw into to filter head on both sides but after adding more Teflon tape to the threads they stopped. It required about 6 turns of tape per fitting. I used an HQUA-OWS-124 UV filter, WSP-50 spin down filter, and Fleck 5600 SXT Softener to complete the system. After everything was up and running I noticed a glow in the Pex coming from both ends of the UV unit. I realized I should have used copper because the UV will deteriorate the Pex over time. It was easy to disassemble the routing because of the slip fit fittings. I simply cut copper tubing to match the same length and reinstalled since the fittings accepted Pex and copper both.

Installed this in the pump house of my new home. Prior to instillation, the water smelled like sulfur and tasted awful. Now it’s odor free and I drink it straight from the tap. Since my well is new, the water had a lot of particulate matter. The filter does a nice job of removing it. I knew I wanted a filter since going to a lecture about the potential health risks of contaminants in well water. Not only from drinking it, but from bathing/showering in it. After researching different systems, I decided on this one The good reviews and reasonable pricing were the main reasons. 1year later, I am very satisfied with my decision. I combined this filter with a softener and uv filter and love the results.

This system is doing a great job on filtering from my well. PLAN your install, in a location that can get damp. When changing the filters, it is nearly impossible to get spin off the filters without getting some water spilled on the wall and floor. DO buy the WSP prefilter and install, as this allows you to easily relieve the pressure and greatly reduce the spilling of water. (I plumbed outside but drain to 5 gl bucket or a cooler will work fine also, if now drain is available.) The installation of shut off valves and by-pass to isolate the filters is a MUST! This not only reduces water spillage, but also avoids the introduction of much air into lines, so vritually no bleeding of air from the lines after a filter change. The Pre filter, also extends the life of your primary sediment filter and pays for itself in a couple of filter changes. Best $50 bucks spent in the entire bulid of our new home! Also if you are on a well, esp. a new or updated well, plan on a change of the sediment filter in first 30-45 days. I have a tankless water heate that was plugging up the filter screen every 4-7 days, after addition, has not plugged up once in last two months! The addition of the CTO barbon filter also removed what little taste was coming through to better than bottled water! Last, on my install I did not use the provided shut off valves, because I wanted a full inch line to the house, and while it shows it can install as 1 inch, it appeared to me and our plumber that it actually hooked to the 1" line, but actually reduced to 3/4", so we spent a few bucks for the 1" shut off. If you are running smaller than 1" line or not on a well, you will be fine with provided shut offs, and add the one additional to allow you to complete the bypass line! I have the install now for 60 days with no issues of any kind.

I've only had the filter a couple of weeks but already can see improvement in the water quality. I'm on a well and have been drinking bottled water for years. Now I am able to drink the water from the tap.

Hopefully this helps make everyone's life easier with finding the correct fittings. I used the paste sealer as another reviewer suggested and it leaked even when using a lot of paste. I used the paste on metal to metal without an issue but metal to plastic leaked. I ended up using Blue Monster thread seal tape and wrapping the fitting 10 times (possibly more) then running my nails through the treads to push it down a bit because the amount of tape. Worked perfectly the first time. Did the same for the sediment spin down filter.

5 Years ago I bought a Reverse Osmosis system for my house. It worked perfectly for years. When the tap started to drip (I think my house has hard water which we've now solved) iSpring's customer service (Nick to be exact) went above and beyond. Rush shipped me replacement faucet after just a few minutes on the phone. Fast forward a few weeks and Customer Service was so good I ordered Whole House Filtration System, UV, Spindown, + another reverse Osmosis system for 2nd location in house. I know for a fact Customer Service will take care of me for years to come so I was confident spending thousands more on iSpring products. Whole House System one of the filters arrived damaged (from shipping company I'm sure) but iSpring as expected took care of it rush shipped out replacement filter at no cost. That's how you run a business, others can learn from iSpring. Oh and side note, water TDS went from 140 down to 9 so we have amazing water throughout whole house now!

I'm writing this about 9 months after purchase because I had to change cartridges now. Well made product and simple to install. I had a plumber do the installation being I was having other work done in my home but could've done it myself. And customer service from I spring was outstanding. Don who called me to help me out was polite and more then helpful and an absolute gentlemen. Good company, good product and GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Our contractor installed the unit for us. Water is now acceptable to daily use.
