I am buying this minralizes filter for my wife. But I GET FEARFUL WHEN IN HEAR OF PEOPLE RUNNING COPPER LINE FROM A RO SYSTEM.AS THE WATER WILL LEACH THE COPPER OUT AND YOU WILL DISTILL THE COPPER AND IT!!!! STAYS IN YOUR BODDIES. I LIVE NEAR FLINT MI. AND HEAR OF "QUICK BUCK SALESMEN INSTALINH A WHOLE HOUSE RO SYSTEM ON THE CITIES INCOMMING WATER SUPPLY. DEATH WILL BE SLOW!!!! Emerald ash

Depending on the scale you use, ph went up drastically!!! EXACTLY what we needed to add to our 5 stage iSpring RO system!!! This is a sample of water from before and after... Im sure it will drop slightly after we start drinking more and more... But this certainly makes a difference... Im not a huge fan of the change in taste but Ill adapt to it since its healthier!The picture speaks for itself!

This one is used to replace the broken parts in my filter. This one is a normal part so I think the price is ok. It fit my filter well and everything works perfectly right now. This one I think is nice and the quality is ok.

I bought this to raise the pH of my drinking water back up from reverse osmosis waters naturally acidic level. Each of these raised the pH of the water slightly, so I picked a target pH level (matching a brand of bottled spring water I liked) and ended up chaining four of them to get my water to match it. With that, the water now has less of a harsh taste. It tastes...softer and gentler, I guess. Its much easier to drink. A slight downside is that I do get a slight mineral buildup on the inside of my frequently-used containers, but its easy to clean off.Keep in mind that you will also need one of these kits (or equivalent) to be able to mount and plumb this module:http://www.amazon.com/iSpring-ACL1-Add-on-Filter-Kit/dp/B00M8B537Y/Additionally, if you are trying to tune the pH level of your water, I would recommend buying a pH meter so you can do it by the numbers rather than guessing. I wish I had the tools to measure be pH and TDS of this pre and post my RO system. BUT for now based on a blind taste test with 4 people they can taste a slight difference in the water after the mineral filter.
