Installed this first inline on my 3 filter manifold. It seems to be a high quality flushable prefilter to lessen particulate load on the 1 micron big blue polyester filter and rust reduction filter that are downstream. The included wrench has made it easier to clean the wire mesh prefilter.

Installed filter as directed. After install and turning on water for 1st time the filter caught a bunch of large sediment which was easily cleaned by simply opening the valve and let drain into a bucket. once I did that and closed valve the filter was clean. Great product and easy to use. very effective and worth getting to save filter system from changing filters.
