Bought this system and test meter for around $200. Followed instructions and it was easy to install, no leaks. Tested city tap water - 163 ppm. RO filtered water tests - 10 ppm for suspended solids. Very pleased with quality of product, ease of installation, filtration of my water.

Makes a big difference in water flavor! Change your filters people!!! Im so glad we did. We also bought the stage 4 membrane and replaced all 5 filters. First the main three. The big change came when we replaced the membrane and stage 5 filter.We have APEC filter.

I want to start with saying that I am really impressed with the quality of this RO and water bottle faucet. My only complaint is the speed the water comes out of the tap. I switched to this system from a system I bought at home depot for more money that was only 3 stages. I switched because this system was only a little more than replacement filters for the old system and going forward the filters are less money. My pros and cons are a comparison to the old system (brand was GE). I put a tee on the waterline to the faucet to supply the water to my fridge as well. PROS - Immediately out of the box it is clear this comes with better quality fittings, more options, and extra parts. No extra trips to the hardware store. This comes with a screw on quarter turn valve that goes between the fitting for the sinks flexible hose and the water supply. Many kits come with a self piercing saddle valve, which works fine, but makes a permanent hole in your copper pipes. The housing, filters, canisters, everything is large and solid feeling. Feels sturdy and like it will last. Could be a con if space for installation is limited. The quick connect fittings work easily, they have small clips that are easy to lose but extra come with the system. I like that it is easy to connect and disconnect lines. The water tank is larger and thus can hold more volume for immediate use. I didnt run out much on the old tank but the extra volume here is great. The faucet feels sturdy, installed easily, and looks great.There is plenty of extra waterline. Filters are less expensive than other brands. Getting them shouldt be a problem. CONS - All fittings and lines are 1/4 inch. The old system had larger lines from the tank to the faucet, and the faucet itself (though it was cheaper quality) had a larger ID. Filling things with water is slow. Filling a 1.6L electric kettle is annoying Size. This will not fit if space is limited. I have room but it is tight.

So far this is the best RO system Ive owned, my soft water reads PPM 280 and I actually just changed the 5 filters and my PPM is 19. I actually had this system for 3 years and didnt change the filters because it kept reading PPM 30, but after changing it, you could really taste the difference, so change those filters at least every year and that membrane every 2 or 3 years. I did have an issue when I changed the filters and I put the wrong tubing order sequence and the flow went the opposite direction. It may have caused an issue with the membrane because the reading was at PPM 130, but I can tell you the Ispring tech support is great, they helped me in every way, they even sent the parts that they felt was bad. So 110% Kudos to Josh at Tech Support.

Such a relief knowing our water for drinking and cooking is as pure as possible. Husband says it was easy enough to install. Wanted to add the sixth stage--alkalinizes the water and adds back essential trace minerals--super easy to add on.

When I ordered this RO system, I was expecting a higher-quality and less expensive alternative to what is being sold at the big box home improvement stores. What I got was not only better and cheaper, it was MIND BLOWING. The brushed nickel dispenser ALONE is worth the purchase price. I also ordered and installed a permeate pump (to increase efficiency) and TDS tester (to verify operation of the unit). Let me tell you, the quality of this kit is unprecedented in my experience. You cant buy a system like this anywhere that I have ever seen or imagined. It includes a full size, comprehensive FULL COLOR instruction book that is so easy to follow. It also includes color coded tubing and even EXTRA PARTS. Show me anything these days that comes with extra parts. Again, Im blown away and I feel I got more than I bargained for. The system is over 90% effective out of the box (roughly 93% according to my cheap TDS sensor). Adding the permeate pump saves a TON of water and I consider it a necessary addition to any RO system. Order this, you can't go wrong.
