The cats like our filtered water too but seriously our old filter was aging and they weren't drinking it as much as just regular tap water. Replacement filters are inexpensive. Did my math and our family will break even in 6 months!

Does take up the room where you would normally have a trash can and cleaning products, but clean water is worth it.

It took about an hour to set up. I tested the RO water with the TDS meter, and it registered 15 ppm.

At the rate we were going we figured this system would more than pay for itself within a year. The tank is plenty big for my 6-person house, so we haven't had any trouble with it running out.

We had tested our tap water using a TDS meter and got a reading of over 500. Filtered water reads 11.

Using a water testing meter, I confirmed that our tap water has a reading of about 300 ppm. Tested total dissolved solids from my old filter system reduced it from tap water at 270, down to 150, but with the system, it was down to 18!

This process took me a couple of hours as I had a hard time to get the tube routing under the sink. After installing the system, the water tastes a lot better. We also installed a whole house filtration system along with this RO system.Both were from iSpring. Very happy with both systems.
