My towns water supply has been discovered to be contaminated with PFCs (perfluorinated chemicals). Some research revealed that the particular contaminate for which the water was tested, PFOA, can be removed through sufficient contact with granular activated carbon. But, PFOA, while it will remain in the environment for generations, is no longer being used in most manufacturing. It has been replaced by similar substances that have molecular sizes that are too small to be filtered by GAC. And next to nothing is known or published about the effects of these newer chemicals including how to effectively test for their presence in the water supply. The primary source of the contamination in my town is a plastics factory which is now using the newer chemicals. The only reasonable course for my family - we drink tap water almost exclusively - was to install a reverse osmosis filter which will filter down to molecules only a little larger than water.I purchased and installed this filter about a month ago and have been very satisfied with the performance. I also added on a permeate pump (Aquatech ERP 1000) which delivers improved the performance both in higher faucet pressure and reduced quantity of waste water. The only issue I encountered during installation was that the pipe thread tape supplied in the kit was not tough enough. The threads were cutting the tape when threading the valve on. I fought with leaks at the top of the pressure tank for a few days before trying a thicker tape (I have a few rolls in my tool box). That did the trick ... no more leaks since.

Great product, very easy to install. Just be careful connecting the tubing, trim the ends so the cuts are even so when they are firmly seated in the connectors, there will be no leaks. Water is very pure and tastes wonderful..

Get one now! What a remarkable difference in the smell and taste of our water. You will taste the difference, or the lack of taste. You will notice the absence of the chlorine smell.

Great product and well built for the price. Its great that it comes with all the necessary parts to connect it yourself. The faucet is also a nice addition. The water pressure isnt great, but I think that is to be expected with many RO systems.

Great system, super easy to install and ends with great tasting water. Plumbed it into my ice machine and water on the fridge, threw away the built in fridge filter that did nothing but slow down the flow, then tapped the line and ran it into the whole house humidifier. Overall very pleased, looking to get a larger reserve tank down the line but for now works great.

Recommend watching the installation video on youtube. Making sure the tube is pushed all the way in (about 1/2 inch) is key. Remove blue lock rings first, reinstall after tube is inserted. Be sure to close tank valve during initial start up so you dont run all the carbon (black stuff) that comes out of filter for first few minutes, open tank valve after water runs clear. I bypassed the membrane as well for same reason. Still plenty of room under sink for storage. This was my first RO system install and I would say it was easy after watching the video. I havent tested the PH yet, but will soon.

I really like this system, every bit of it appears to be very high quality. That being said I am not fully convinced that this system is built in the USA as described. There are some typos in the instructions that lead me to believe this is an imported item. Also you need to know that the RO filter should not be install until after you have run your first tank of water. The carbon dust from the pre filters can gum up the RO membrane. If you dont read through the entire instructions, this is easy to miss.I installed the system in my basement and ran lines up to the sink. Everything works well and there is a very noticeable improvement in water quality.

Bought to replace an outdated system (Omnifilter) that was installed in 2004. I carefully read the instructions, because some buyers reported problems with leaks. The Quick-Connect fittings are simple to use and do NOT leak if used correctly. Again, read the instructions! I did call customer service with a couple of questions, and spoke with Alicia. She was polite, well informed, and a delight to speak with! I was quite impressed! The drinking water processed through this system is excellent. Great tasting and makes clear ice cubes. Also, I have noticed my pets are drinking more water. iSpring gets an A+
