Fits exactly. I had been burned by another brand that was just a bit longer and it prevented me from closing the filter lid tight enough and it caused a leak. Not this brand.The company was prompt and professional.

These come in a box of 50, but each one is individually wrapped and marked as 1 micron. There is simply no comparison in price against buying in your local box store. There have been some questions in the reviews about the overall length. When compared to what I had from the local store, these were a bit longer. Initially, I cut one down using my miter saw to be the same size as the previous cartridge and that worked fine. When I replaced that one, however, I decided NOT to cut it down and it still fit in fine with a good seal. Our well has a high iron content so I put two filters in-line using a 5-micron filter first followed by these 1-micron filters. The water is clear now.
