Note: I explain towards the bottom why a 5-star system only receives 4 stars.

We just bought a home in an area where everyone has RO systems. So, I did my due diligence, listened to friends who had passionate opinions about RO systems and came to a conclusion that I wanted one to replace the ancient one our home already had, but it had to add back the minerals it removed. That is when I found iSpring. I love it! And I like the added UV light. (I was in the pet industry and I know how UV kills bacteria. Bonus!) We had it connected to our fridge water and ice as well. (We did not do the installation, our contractor did) It has made me a water snob! I fill huge stainless bottles with our water to take with on trips because I can smell the chemicals in water now. I drink more water because I now actually like it. Even our ice is better. Doesn't alter the flavor of drinks we add it to

I have purchased other RO filter systems in the past and for various reasons decided to try iSpring system and glad I did. The iSpring system is superior to the other 2 systems I had owned. It installed easier and with the alkaline filter the water tastes better with much better pressure and less waste (we are on a well).

We have had this unit since September, 2017. In the beginning we did have some issues with the unit. First, the UV would not turn off, so they sent us a new connector and unfortunately it was the wrong one. So, we explained to the company that it was the smaller connector, even took a picture of it and sent it to them. The first representative was very confident that he knew and for me not to worry he would send it to us, well second connector came and it too was wrong. They were very apologetic and sent us the correct connector the next time. We were still drinking our water even though the light was on all the time, I personally just did not like the water getting so warm so if were gone through the day and every night I would unplug the unit until we were about to take our first draw and then we just flushed it a little for taste. The second issue was the tank was leaking and again they were very helpful and sent us some more tape and a rubber casket for the top, but we felt the tape was just to low of quality so, we bought some thicker tape and ended up not having to use the casket they sent and it has not leaked since. So, our Suggestion is be very careful and make sure everything is lined up properly and it is well worth going out and purchasing a better quality tape. Third, we were very disappointed that for whatever reason it took them a full 2 months to get our unit to us. We really felt that was an excessive amount of time. However, despite my complaints my husband was able to get the unit together and working and as a whole it works well. Our water is a deep well and we have had our water tested before the unit was put in and it is extremely soft water, that does have an odor. Our TDS was in the 500s and after flushing we were able to get our numbers down into the high teens and low 20s. I have not tested lately, however, just this week we did order a set of more filters due to our odor coming back pretty strong and in our case instead of just changing I believe, filter 2 & 5 we have decided to replace 1, 2, 3 & 5. This is more of a personal preference to help keep our quality high. The minerals being put back in looks like it probably has a good 2 months left and they say that the membrane only has to be replaced every 2 to 3 years. The odor and taste filters for sure did not last 6 months and we know for a fact we have not gone through 1500 gallons of water, however, we are still pleased, because we figure in 4 months we purchased at the very least $40.00 worth of water at the store and the 4 filters only cost a little over $27 and that is supplying drinking water for three households. So in the end we feel like the unit deserves 5 stars, even though we had some issues in the beginning, it has worked well and we enjoy being able to have the convenience of drinking the water right from our faucet.

Thank you to friendly staff (especially Nick) of iSpring for responding when I had to move the unit to new apartment. Nice to get loooong use from my reliable water filter system.

On the unit I received the UV doesn't function & I noticed outside the return window. I contacted amazon seeking warranty support & they responded with \we werent able to locate the manufacturers warranty information for this product\" which I found odd as THEIR product page indicates there's a warranty. Beware of warranty claims."

The water in my house has been labeled unsafe for some time so I've been relying on bottled water, but it produces far too much plastic waste, so I decided to go with this kit to drink the water coming into my house. The product arrived and was pretty easy to install from following their manuals and online guides. They also provide all the necessary parts to install this minus a few lock-off clips (which was not totally necessary for operation) which I managed to get off of Amazon as well. I did have a few issues with the product at first.

The iSpring Reverse Osmosis Water filtration 7 stage with booster pump and UV Filtration is the best you can get for the money! The system is a little more complicated than the more basic systems iSpring sells, but honestly not very hard to install still! The directions are very clear and the installation kit makes it all a breeze! Thank God the system comes preassembled it makes it a lot easier not having to fully build the unit! I am impressed with the quality of the parts and just over all install. The water tastes incredible I am very glad I spent the extra money for the one with Alkaline post filter. It literally makes the water taste exactly like some of the expensive bottled water brands out there, but for a fraction of the cost! The other great thing is that the filters last at least 6 months before having to be changed! Compared to some of the in refrigerator water filter systems! This machine will pay for itself within the first few months! I would go through my Zero Water filters within 2-3 weeks. Which isn’t very long and filters cost anywhere from 15-20 bucks a piece! That adds up very quickly! This by far is the best investment in my new condo purchase! I couldn’t be happier and the company had such great reviews I knew iSpring Reverse Osmosis Systems wouldn’t let me down! Keep up the great quality products and awesome easy to understand directions!

I went from 525ppm water to 16ppm! Unit works excellent. No problems, and I like the additional UV lighting and mineral additives to the water. Coffee tastes better, cooking with it tastes better. Extremely pleased. I replaced the 5gal tank that comes with the kit with an 11 gal tank. I have it setup in my basement on the wall. I used ShelfTrack pieces to set the 11 gal tank on (7 gal effective). The ShelfTrack hangers are attached to a 3/4" plywood measuring 2'x3', also purchased at Home Depot, with 3" screws holding it to the studs. The output of the water goes into a T, with one end going to my ice-maker in my refrigerator and the other end going to the faucet in my sink. Because it needs to be no more than 15' from the faucet, and the drain in my basement is at the other end of the basement, I configured the waste water drain with three 10' sections of 1/2" PVC pipe, with sharkbite connectors to go from the RO system (1/4" to 1/2"), then at the other end of the PVC pips, to go from 1/2" to 3/8", and finally I used 3/8" hose that drains into my laundry sink. I wanted to go larger than the 1/4" output so I went with 3/8" so there are no flow issues. The 30' of PVC pipe is suspended by hangers I also got from Home Depot, so there is a gradual decline in the run. The pump only needs to send its waste water about 2', then gravity takes over as it goes down the pipe. With a few 1/4" Ts I also purchased at Home Depot, the unit is a great success. I added some 1/4" valves so I could disconnect the faucet, the ice maker, and the water tank as needed, and also on the main supply line, for changing filters, or for other reasons for taking the RO system offline in the future.

Absolutely excellent product. Replaced a 12 year old 3M RO system (because the filters were $165 vs. $35-$50 depending on number of stages for the iSpring unit). The key is to install it CORRECTLY. Follow plumbing best practices or hire a plumber to install to prevent leaks on startup. I left the rubber washer on the tank off stop the only leak we got when we started the system. Also, follow the first start instructions. Some reviews complain of odor in the water at first. This is why you flush stages 1-3 during initial startup, and you won't have this issue. This is normal on any RO system with new filters. Use case is for whole home (fridge and kitchen tap), and works excellent.
