We purchased this filter in Dec 2017. Our tab water has a lot of chlorine in it that one can taste but also smell.This filter does a great job of removing the chlorine it - water tastes great now.The 123filter.com website sells professional installation for $380 which I first thought is very high. We found a local plumber - including the trip to Lowes to get the correct pipes/fittings etc it took us about 3h to install it and costing about $270 for the plumber and $150 in supplies.The filter itself was damaged during shipment (one of the fittings between the filters was broken). Ispring immediately shipped a replacement but the plumber fixed it himself with a $0.49 fitting. Customer service from Ispring is great.

Overall I am happy with the filter system. I installed this in combination with a 50 micron spin down pre-filter and a downstream iSpring UV sterilizer. I have a dug well which has the potential for surface water contamination and I feel very comfortable drinking the water from the tap now.The 1" FPT inlet and outlet didnt seal too well for me. I have a small intermittent drip from the outlet. I installed the spin down filter directly into the inlet which is a terrible idea. iSpring say you can do it, but it makes it so close you cant get the filter wrench on it. Also, the threads on the spin down filter are very short and were difficult to get sealed into the filter housing.

I have a well, and the untreated water has a terrible metallic taste; when I had the water tested, it showed a very high Iron content. After using these filters with the Iron/Manganese removal filter, the water that comes out is pretty clean and neutral tasting. Very happy with the purchase so far; combined with their UV filter and RO filter in my kitchen, I have much better water quality now. (Note: I bought this from another vendor because it was on sale, but as you can see from the picture, I do own it).
