We moved into a new home and we purchase the same system we thought in our last home. Wheel of drinking the fresh water and have not had any mechanical or filter issues since buying it and I feel good about the water that might get drinks.

This TDS Meter simply does the job. Easy to operate and shows consistent readings. Tested it with my fridge filter, RO system, bottled water and tap water. I like that it automatically calibrates itself for different temperature of the water sample. Very satisfied with this purchase. I would recommend it.

Five star unit that works quite well for measuring the hardness of your water in order to correctly set your water softener. However, If you want to measure the softness of your water *after* it has gone through the softener this is NOT the tool! The unit will measure the sodium that the softener replaces the hard minerals with and will result in the same, or slightly higher readings after softening.When this happened to me I darn near replaced my water softener because I thought it wasnt working. The facts on this were difficult to find - this is the response from the seller:If youre measuring the TDS immediately after a water softener, it would make since for the meter to measure the same or higher. TDS meters measure the total dissolved solids, but they cant differentiate between what actually makes up the TDS. So when a water softener exchanges the hard water ions for soft water ions, the TDS meter cant tell the difference between the two.
