Switching from a 14 year old Kenmore to a newer Whirlpool refrigerator. Dislike doing plumbing so I did some research to see if supply lines compatible. To my relief both fridges used 3/8 fittings and my supply line was 3/8. The 8 was ample. And reviews said I needed a 1/2" wrench so I had that ready. Hooked up the supply line, checked for leaks, none. Seems I made a simple job complicated. Tip: after I attached it to the supply valve I opened the valve and a little black water shot out. Dont know if it came from my source or in the supply line. After it came out clear I attached it to the fridge and everything works.
