Since I have a iSpring reverse osmosis system I bought this 50 pack so I just replace the filter every month to hopefully make the RO membranes and such last longer.

Great purchase. Worked as expected and saved $ compared to hardware store purchase $1.92 each vs $4.00 each. Use them in a Sears general household quality cold water only,whole house valve-in-head water filter model no. 329.347700 a Rainfresh filter model # FC005. I must say though I wouldnt leave them for 6 months more like change them every 2 months at most.

This is a top quality product, and at a fraction of the cost of the big box stores. I bought this as a pre-filter for my water softener, which is on well water. I love the clear glass and the ease of flushing out sediment. Plus, the fittings allow for either a 1" female or 3/4" male supply line.

I have used several of these filters in a variety of locations around the western US (I live in an RV), and have not had any problem with clogging as some reviewers have said. In bad water areas, they fill up quickly, but that has been my experience with string wound filters also. We have lived on the road in an RV for 21 years and stayed in over 35 states. Because of the dramatically lower cost of these filters compared to buying them at the local home center or Walmart, I am happy to be able to change my filter more often, and I now have enough on hand to last me for the next two years or more.

Its our first time buying these 10" cartridges for n Plumber filter. We used to buy original ones. These are fraction of the cost, - big bonus. I had to use some force to put them in, and worried they might not work, but after a week of using it, cartridge seems to do a good job. Will definitely buy again.
