we have a private Well with a high iron content. The water was rust colored, smelled and taste bad.installing this product produced jaws dropping results. The water now is crystal clear, has no smell and no bad taste.

Easy install, water tight, the filters have changed over chlorinated, sand filled, sulphur tasting water into great tasting water. After a week all of the faucet straining caps are clear, shower sprays 44lbs of pressure...difinant change! Put a pre pull down filter ahead of blue filters to extend usage. The major result will be in a full month of use.

The raw well water tests as 0.3 to 0.6 PPM iron. After the water softener it tests around 0.1 PPM iron. After the water filter being reviewed it pretty much tests at 0 iron. But it's interesting. Using the iron test called out above the center of the test strip is white to show no iron and around the edges it's a slight pink. So the wife buys distilled water for coffee because she doesn't like the well water (she's not yet tried the water with the new filter). So I test the distilled water for iron on the whole test area is a little pink. So in my mind the distilled water shows more iron than water that has been through this filter. Not sure what to make of that. And our water had a definite smell to it and the smell is gone. Right after the filter was installed there was a slight vinyl smell but that went away really quick. So I think the carbon filter is working well. I just gave it a 4 because when you take it apart to change the filters you get water everywhere. At least I did but fortunately it's in the basement and the previous owner poured a little wall to keep water contained. But it spilled a lot of water and I'm not sure how to get around it when the filters are changed.

We started this journey with a smaller whole house single stage to the kitchen only. But repair to a lead pipe to our old house became the incentive for an upgrade. We continue to use the kitchen filter cartridge as a final "scrub" for our kitchen water. Was a bit of a bear to install, but I knew that going into it and because I'm squarely in the amateur plumber ranks. The water pressure drop is negligible across the system. Our water is from Chicago. Heavy smell and taste of chlorine year round. In the later summer it can get fishy (will have to wait for next year to see how it does on that). The water is noticeably much better tasting, smelling and behaves "almost" soft now. System has been in place for a little over a month now. Coffee tastes better with chlorine removed for certain. It is nice to have filtered water in the entire house including hot water for laundry, dishwasher and showering. I will probably run a by-pass for the garden hoses though.. No changes since installation; no leaks, pressure drops or reduction in water quality. This was a good choice for us and worth the expense. No salt to buy or worrying about regeneration as with a water softener. The final verdict will be on frequency and cost to replace filters and ease of doing that. Based on installation we don't anticipate any challenges.

With the WGB32BM, iSpring has produced a solid, well-made and nicely packaged filter system that works perfectly for those with well water. I have been very pleased with everything about the installation which basically occurred over a two day period. We have lived on our 20 acre land for over 20 years and our water has been acceptable most ways except for an abundance of iron and other particulate matter that builds up over time in the toilet tanks. It wasn't too bad until the natural gas pipeline that crosses our property needed to be repaired about 200 yards from our well. The contractors brought in heavy equipment and excavated a large area to reveal the pipeline. A few weeks after the construction was complete our water became orange colored with a metallic taste. Obviously our aquifer had been disturbed by this activity. When the quality deteriorated beyond acceptable we decided to first "shock" the well with bleach (which is highly recommended anyway) and install a whole house filter system. After researching systems and reading reviews I settled on the iSpring WGB32BM with the addition of the iSpring Spin Filter. The next task was to decide whether to use PVC, Pex, Sharkbite fittings or stick with 3/4" copper which is how our house is currently plumbed. After a bit of research I decided that copper was the way to go although it doesn't have the flexibility of Pex but is certainly more dependable in the long run. For the input and output of the filters I used PVC adaptors to fit the 1" openings down to 3/4". I have done a fair share of copper sweating during my life and know the most important step is planning, measuring and dry fitting followed by clean connections and proper soldering technique. Once you learn the basics it is really not that difficult. I designed the system around iSpring directions and knowledge gleaned from others on YouTube. I put in 4 shutoff valves and a bypass for ease of filter replacement. I added a iSpring Spin filter prior to the 3 filters and also placed pressure gauges on each side of the main filters in order to judge any pressure loss as the filters age. I soldered the entire system together prior to connecting to the house water supply and mounted it on a large board attached to the concrete wall. After completion I was pleased that there was absolutely no pressure differential when the new filters were placed online and absolutely no leaks. In addition to the iSpring system my additional costs for copper and fittings was around $125. I have attached a couple of photos as pictures are worth many words.

I had this unit installed a licensed plumber using copper fittings, and since it has just been installed I can't really give it any kind of rating other than it looks great! Since I am on city water I think this model should fit my needs. I also installed SB75 Scale Blaster to condition my water. Between the water filter and Scale Blaster, I removed my Fleck water softener hoping that my water needs will be maintenance free, no salt, no timers and no brine flushing noises. Bill

Great product. Great tasting water without any significant pressure loss. After some research, did the install after the pressure tank.

I am satisfied with this filter, but be aware that Lowe's web information may have some errors. At the time I purchased, the listing states this filter's flow rate as 15 GPM, which may be true for the empty structure, but actual flow rate will be limited by the filter cartridges you install. For the Iron & Manganese filter cartridge supplied, the cartridge's label shows a flow rate of 4-8 GPM, with a pressure drop of 5 PSI at 8 GPM. Also, one of the installation videos states that the head of the unit is cast iron; but the actual materials are steel for the mounting bracket and a very sturdy plastic for the filter head. I paired this with a spin-down sediment filter. The combination does a good job of removing sediment from my well water, which was my main issue. We did not experience a significant loss of flow rate or water pressure, and I did not have to adjust the well pump pressure. We also noticed our water is softer than before.

This is a great filter system. We have a community well water with heavy iron and sediment and this filter works as well as muti thousand dollar treatment systems. Install is relatively easy.

Best purchase! I have Fort Myers Municipal water. First filter (orange tag in picture) takes care of the sediment. The other Two (green Cartridges) are a carbon chlorine filter back to back. No taste to the water and clean! Works extremely well. Each cartridge is 20" long by 4.5" round. This system is for 100,000 gallons before filters need to be changed. A family of 4 would be one year. One person it would last about 4 years.
