We just bought a new house and moved in and my girlfriend grabbed a glass, put tap water in it, took a sip, and spit it out, saying it tasted horrible. We purchased this system a little over a year ago and have only had to replace the filter 1 time! My girl is very happy with our water quality now.

my advice would be to not wait until month 8 to replace the three primary filters. The contaminants levels in your source water can be very different from that of other houses. Regularly check your filters to see if they need a change.

This is my 3rd filter system in the last 19 years and it is great! Yes, the instructions state to flush out the first tank and good reason for it , I want to say how easy and perfect the instructions are for installation with a page showing all connections and different color tubing. The first glass of water after doing the initial filter rinsing was like drinking bottled water.

I had an existing hole in my sink, and an existing ice maker line. Finished the installation within an hour and good to go. Water tastes really good!

Turns out that we had radioactive substances in our city water (looked it up on the city website) and it turns out that this system removes Radon and many of the other toxic chemicals. As described, well packed.

I did a faucet upgrade to match our kitchen sink, and the quality is fantastic, heavier duty than the one that ships with the unit, matches our Moen faucet nicely (and was about $200 cheaper). I also tested with Costco Kirkland filter water, the result even better than it.
