I accidentally purchased the 5-moron sediment filters and messed up my carbon filter (way expensive), they took back the wrong set, 3 used, for full price, and I ordered these. They do what they are supposed to do, so Im very happy and a bit finer at reading the details before purchasing. lol at me.

Well these clog up faster than the 5 micron GE ones I have always used, so I think they are doing good.A 2 family house with 3/4" supply from city (Oneonta, NY) water, so pressure is always an issue even with NO filter.Could get by for 2 months with the old 5 micron ones before the pressure got noticeable too weak. With these I just mademy first 4 weeks and pressure still OK. Looks like I will need a 1 month cycle rather than the 6-8 week, but the tradeoffsare great. I have 2 refigerator filters that will hold up longer and the hot water heater should hold up better. These cost like $1.50 per compared to HDs $5 for the 5 micron.Try a 2 pack if youre not sure if these are a solution for you. Will post further as I use these more.
