My wife and I used to purchase our water at a health foods store. We would pay $1.50 per gallon for Alkaline water. It wasnt filter, just alkaline. The store closed in July, and we knew were out of luck. We spent some time looking for a good filter system. The problem is, even if you can find it in a store, you cant test it out. So it was going to be a gamble. We went home, and did our research on the internet. That lead us to the iSpring system. We purchased the 6 stage system that is a reverse osmosis and alkaline. We got it within a day or two. Much faster than I expected. I installed it myself on a weekend. I'm fairly technically inclined. But I found this to be very easy to put together. Didnt require a high level of skill. I had minor leaks, but found that I just hadnt pushed my fittings together all the way. Once that was done, I had no more leaks. We've had it now for about a month. The water tastes excellent. Considering what we were paying before, we know this system will pay for itself within a year. We're planning to keep our condo and buy a house in a year. We'll be leaving this system in place as a nice bonus for the tenant, and will install another one at our next property.

My suggestion after using this for 3 months, get some teflon tape to make sure you can tape up EVERY connection. Some of the pre-applied connections can require some taping up to prevent leaks. I ended up using teflon tape on every single connection. It's great that they tried to save you time by pre-applying some of the connections, but the truth is you don't want to be in a situation where you've gone under the sink and bent into awkward positions only to find you have a mystery leak.As long as you do that, this is a 5 star system. Mine did come with a bad alkaline filter which caused white specks to show in the water, but this didn't make it unsafe drinking water. The Customer service rep, Brian, was able to diagnose this issue immediately and was quick to respond and send me a replacement.Having a quality product AND quality customer service makes any hiccups in the process negligible in my opinion. At the end of the day, I have the most impressive drinking water out of my whole family and friend circle, and people come over just to have my tea and coffee because it tastes so clean and pure. Also, if you compare this system long term to most basic filter systems, the upfront cost may be intimidating for some...but consider that the annual cost to keep the filters replaced is half that of pretty much any filter system. Think of this as a long term investment.

My wife wasn't convinced until after I installed it. She loves the water we have in our house now!

There is a notable change in the quality of the water. Installation was very straightforward and you don't have to be expert to install it, step by step instructions are straight forward and I had it working in a hour.

This review is based on my 6 months of experience with this RO system (bought it Dec 2019).Not so good part1) Pipes could be labeled and uniquely color coded (don't remember exactly since it was 6 months ago, but i think the manual was printed in black and white so had to get online colored version pdf).2) Initially there was a oil sheen in water (it was mentioned in Manual so was not a surprise) and took several tanks of water flush to get it to acceptable level. (admittedly manual talks about it already and tells to flush tank multiple times)Now good part1) Uses generic water filters. My original RO was a costco purchase (Watts Premier) . It was biggest mistake. They used proprietary filters which costed as much new RO system. I bought iSpring because it uses generic filters and provides best bang for buck.2) Other than some minor confusion during installation, it was easy to get it up and running.3) Came with water spout which feels and looks high quality.4) Generally after buying any product, I get spam from company to buy other product. However after iSpring purchase, I was pleasantly surprised to get email asking me if I was having trouble installing this product or if I need any additional support. That felt very personal and nice. I haven't had to interact with customer service but given that email I am confident that they will provide excellent service.5) Some reviews talk about leaks, but after initial installation and making sure all joints are snug, I never had a leak in last 6 months. So all checkboxes ticked on my criteria - (1) Price (2) Customer Service (2) Quality of water. Overall, I would give a thumbs up to this RO system.

When the system isn't broken, it's great. I bought this and installed it less than 3 years ago. In that time, I've replaced all 3 cannisters as the lids all cracked. I also had to replace the connectors between the lids. Now, no matter what I do, I can't get the connections between the cannisters to stop leaking, so now it's all but useless.I expected better for the price.

With this filter, water is much safer to drink and not worry to forget to buy water. Water actually taste good. Much cleaner compare to sink water.

When I got my filter in there was an issue with two stages be non functional, but customer service fixed my problem right away, sent a replacement, and now everything works GREAT! While there was that issue, I couldn't give anything less than 5 stars because I was super impressed how they stand behind their product. Thanks!

We had this RO system installed by professional plumbers, it took them 1-2h from start to finish. This is the first time we are using a RO system so I reached out to the support line, I was asked to leave a vmail or email (I did both). Within a day, I got their responses to my questions. I followed up with more questions on the tank expansion and water quality, and got further answers from the support. The support engineer name is Brian and he was very helpful. All my questions were answered. We are using this RO system on Well water. The tap water registers 70 ppm, and with this RO, we are down to 10ppm.We found that the first 10-15s of pouring the filtered water from the dispenser, it registers 60ppm. Brian from support confirmed this is caused by the water in the 6th filter (mineral filter), and this is normal. After 20s, filtered water is back to 10ppm.The tank can contain 3.2G of water. After 2.5-3G of water usage, the pressure decreases until tank gets empty and then only few drops comes out. This is normal as RO does its job and start replenishing the tank in 1-2h. I was hoping to get more filter water, Brian explained that instead of using one big tank, add another tank in addition to the first one, in that case you can use it for other feeds (ie water fridge or ice etc), and also get more pressure.Overall I’m very happy of this RO especially the support I got, strongly recommended.

After installing this filter our family did a taste test, comparing our water filtered with the iSpring RO system to the leading pitcher-type filter, plus Southern California's leading brand of bottled spring water. The iSpring water was a clear favorite over the pitcher-filtered water and a narrow favorite over the bottled spring water. We previously compared the pitcher filter to tap water and found no difference. We had been buying 5-gallon bottles of spring water from the supermarket and returning the empty bottles. The iSpring will not only save our backs but should pay for itself in the first year, even allowing for the cost of replacing the filters.Installation was pretty straightforward, though the instructions seemed a bit incomplete or contradictory in places. For example, the written startup instructions said that after installing all the filters to run water through the stages 1 - 3 filters, before connecting the tube that goes out of the stage 3 filter into the RO filter, to clear out any residue from the carbon filters. But the tube from the stage 3 filter to the RO filter was pre-installed on our unit, presumably at the factory. Connections between the other filter housings were also pre-installed. The instructional video didn't include this step. I went ahead and disconnected the plastic tubing out of the stage 3 filter and ran about 2 gallons of water through the stage 1 - 3 filters, until the water turned from a light gray tint to clear. After reconnecting that tube and starting up the RO system there was a significant leak from where an elbow fitting enters the stage 6 filter. This was another pre-installed part, one of the newer style quick fittings, not a threaded fitting that was apparently used in earlier models. The fitting seemed loose where it entered the filter, so I installed one of the spare blue clips on the fitting to secure it. The leak stopped and when the system was fully pressurized there were no leaks. One other minor problem - after the system was installed there was a slight but noticeable reduction in flow of cold water from the tap. This was not due to operation of the RO system, but the T fitting that iSpring supplies for connecting the RO system to the water supply. To fix this I bought a standard lead-free brass T, cap and gasket. I installed the brass T at the supply valve and connected the faucet hose and the iSpring T to this brass fitting. I installed the gasket and cap on the iSpring T where the faucet hose goes. Once this was done the cold water tap was running at full volume again. One suggestion I'd make to iSpring: publish a drawing with the dimensions of the tank and filter assembly in the instruction guide, which is available online. This would have helped plan the installation before receiving the unit.In spite of these minor glitches I found the installation easy to do and we are all very happy with the results.
