Installation can be tricky, but as long as you follow the manual, and use adequate amount of teflon tape, you should be fine. No plumber required in my case. However if you have a tight space then most likely you'll need to reposition your pipes that's when the most hard part starts. Other than this, plan ahead and this will be one of the easier plumbing projects.

I was surprised that this 2 stage sytem could make such difference in our water. In our case we need to replace the filter sooner than they recommend -- but still much better than nothing or other more expensive options. This system also requires minimum maintanence and gives us piece of mind.

I had signs of manganese in my water, black slime stuff on faucets, toilets etc. I did a lot of research in finding out how to eliminate the contaminants and this one seemed to fit the bill. The only hiccup I had while installation was the male NTP fitting was leaking on the housing, I was able to tighten it enough to eliminate the leak but was very difficult. I wish the filter included the 3/4" barb fitting already fitted, was reason I have rated it 4 stars or would be 5 stars.

Unbelievably good filter. I didn't know I could even do anything to our Texas well water -- salty, hard, not even usable. This system is a very simple fix for all that issues.
