It just does not work with the water from my well. So you don't have to cut a hose and go buy an adaptor, it should have a male and female end.

This was used before the water softener and additional filters were used after the softener. I was hoping to utilise this to detect silt early on and perhaps preserve some of the other filters. I have a 50 micron filter in here, and it clogs every day. There doesn't appear to be very much sediment, therefore water pressure is almost non-existent. I removed the sediment filter, and everything works well now. There was no loss of pressure, thus it was this component that was creating the issues.

We have this unit installed for about amonth now. It works as described. We have seen a build up of small particles collect near the bottom of the filter as they cannot pass through the mesh. Turning the purge valve at the bottom quickly ejects the buildup. Great product.
