I had to use about three tanks worth of water until the carbon cleared out but I just saved that water to water my houseplants! I have the BEST tasting drinking water that is perfectly clear and chemical free!! No more plastic bottles of water here! If you are all unsure about buying this system, I say GO FOR IT!! You will not be disappointed!!! The identification labels on the filter housings and the arrows showing which way to turn them to loosen and tighten them is a great help.

There was a small portion that we were unsure of and called customer service just to be sure. I did everything in about a hours time & had no leaks! Would highly recommend this system for anyone looking for a reverse osmosis system!
