I saw some posts about it being difficult or cumbersome to install, and, honestly, Im not sure if the people who had problems installing it, should have been installing it. It could not have been easier, however, Im rather handy around the house. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and have already recommended it to friends.

You must press all connections fully together, instructions didnt stress that. Have been using 6 months +, we make a gallon of cool-aid everyday (6 kids in the house), my TDS meter shows tap water 150 - 160 ppm and the filtered water is 5 - 7 ppm before the alkaline stage at the top.

I had one small leak that I fixed with Teflon tape. I have softened water. As a test I took 12oz of water and put it in a glass dish then microwaved to remove water. Nothing left so I guess the filter took out everthing.
