I chose not to mount my system due to the dishwasher being on the opposite side of the cabinet wall. Maintenance is minimal (once a year) and preventative - I change the lower three (inexpensive) filters yearly as recommended.

I have a stainless electric kettle that after one day of refrigerator filtered water had tons of deposits on the bottom and hence was cleaning it with vinegar once a week. This system is everything I expected. Finally there are no more deposits in my kettle and water tastes so much better. Highly recommend to those who like to drink tea or coffee!

It took about 3 hours to install, but this was because I had to go get a couple of connections and hose for our ice maker as I also purchased ICEK, the refrigerator kit, to get crystal clear ice cubes. The proof was in the taste of our morning coffee.

When I tested our water here using a TDS meter it displayed 427 ppm. After having the system installed, it read 27 ppm. Impressed!
