All in all I am quite happy with the purchase. This is certainly not a replacement for a water softener for me but it seem to enhance the softener effect.

After 4 months of owning this descaler, our electric kettle has no scale build up, shower glass door stays clean, less spots on sinks and less use of soap as you don't need to to use as much. This thing is quite impressive.
