The instructions were not perfect, but with the aid of my husband and the fact that I was already acquainted with how the RO system worked, I found out how my old system allowed me to test the reserve tank to ensure that it was 7lbs under pressure and I also needed to add a tablespoon of bleach to the tank every year.

My husband assembled it himself and even modified it (adding a permeate pump). Yes, the FAUCET matters a lot to me, and this one is excellent.

Installed this product with 500 permeate pump for sink and refrigerator a few days ago. Tap water- 353 total solids. Filtered water- 16 total solids.

I used the waste water for the garden as my dad told me once if you won't drink your tap water don't give it to your plants. Don't be afraid of the installation, instructions are clear and if there is a question a telephone number is there to call.

Here are my TDS (total dissolved solid) test results: Tap water from kitchen faucet source: 507 PPM Professional grade (will not name brand) from Costco RO: 57 PPM Same water sources hooked up to refrigerator with it's own filter: 53 PPM Newly installed RO system after flushing (2nd tank): 17 PPM!!!!
