iSpring RCC7AK-UV, NSF Certified, 75GPD 7-Stage Under Sink Reverse Osmosis RO Drinking Water Filtration System with Alkaline Remineralization Filter and UV Ultraviolet Filter
Triple the Savings, Triple the Joy!
About this item
- Certified to NSF/ANSI 58, this Reverse Osmosis under sink mounted water filter and Point-of-use water softener contains 7 different stages of filtration to remove up to 99% of over 1,000 contaminants, including lead (removes up to 98% of lead), chlorine, fluoride, arsenic, PFAS, asbestos, calcium, and sodium and more.
- With its advanced 11 watt UV stage, the RCC7AK-UV is a suitable option to deal with all kinds of water including well water and other unreliable water sources like lakes and streams. Our unique flow sensor switch turns the UV unit on and off automatically with water flow, saving power and lengthening the life of the UV lamp.
- Reverse Osmosis (RO) removes not only harmful pollutants but also a few helpful minerals. The Alkaline Remineralization (AK) filter restores healthy minerals and a natural alkaline balance, also producing a more natural taste that comes from the presence of the right balance of these minerals.
- Quality components ensure reliability and low maintenance for many years to come. Clear see-through 1st stage housing makes filter inspection a snap.
- Feed Water pH - 3.0 -11.0. Feed Water Pressure - 45-70 psi. Feed Water Temperature- 40-100 F (4 - 38 C). Please note, this RO system under sink does not come with a booster pump.
- Certified by NSF/ANSI 58 - The iSpring reverse osmosis system is tested and certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI to standard 58 for reduction of Asbestos (>99.7%), Barium (98.4%), Cadmium (98.8%), Chromium (99.2%), Copper (97.8%), Fluoride (97.4%), Lead (98.9%), Selenium (99.0%), TDS (97.9%)
- Our NSF Certification validates the entire filtration system's performance, setting us apart from competitors that certify only components or materials.

I purchased this system in February 2018, I wanted to wait a while to see how it performed before writing a review. I have a background in water quality and am a bit of a water snob so I had very high expectations for quality and the water it produced.
Installation was great, they include everything you need to install it on existing equipment. It attached to the cold water angle stop for your sink, they have a nice brass t fitting that will adapt to whatever you have under your sink either 3/8 or 1/2. it included an isolation valve so you can easily turn off your filter system for maintenance and carriage replacement. As a plumber I was very pleased with install. I am very picky in the way I put things together and it still only took me about an hour or so. I bet you could do the job in 30 minutes if you were in a hurry.
Parameters: my tap water has any where from 250-400 ppm total dissolved solids (TDS). That's pretty standard for municipal water in southern California. still that is allot of stuff dissolved in the water including lead, arsenic, chloramine, and trace chemicals. Ph from tap is about 7.8. Coming out of the RO membrane before it hits the Alkaline cartridge I got a TDS of about 9-14 ppm. That is pretty incredible. the finished Alkalinity from this system was 8.8! perfect alkaline water. the mineral content was a great also, about 40-60mg/L of Carbonate hardness and 60mg/L general hardness. That means the perfectly minneraled and alkalized water free from chemicals, heavy metals or any harmful contaminates.
The flavor as you can imagine is incredible. I use it to brew beer with, my friends cant believe the quality of my brew, the secret is the water. I use it to brew kombucha with similar results. I use it to fill my fish tanks, the African Cichlids need the high Ph.
Finally the customer service for iSpring is impeccable. I bought a cartridge replacement and has some issues, customer service was quick to handle my issue and did not cost me a dime to make it right.

Excellent R/O System. I installed the iSpring RCC7AK-UV 7-Stage R/O water filtration system myself. It was easy with simple to follow instructions. I did a lot of research before buying this product and found iSpring to be the best for quality/price/performance. In addition to the standard 4 stage R/O filter system, this system includes a UV filter, a PH Filter for adding back important minerals and a polishing filter. These extra stages are important for your health and well worth the extra cost. I have recommended this product to several of my family members and friends and will continue to recommend it. iSpring RCC7AK-UV 7-Stage Under-Sink Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filtration System with Alkaline Remineralization Filter and UV Sterilizer - 75 GPD

Unit was easy to install and water tastes great. No leaks, just make sure all tubing is inserted all the way into connectors and clips attached. Customer service was excellent. Video for install on YouTube was easy to follow as were provided printed instructions. The RCC7AK-UV (ultraviolet light used in final water delivery stage to kill bacteria) should be essential to anyone using well water.

Amazing system! Fairly easy to install as well. We have a well and the water is super hard and tastes terrible. We also noticed not feeling too well and linked it back to our water. We installed the system and now have the most amazingly good tasting water. As a previous bottled water drinker I will have to say that Ispring water out performs any bottled water in taste, any day. Super happy with this system and would recommend it in an instant!

I have been using the iSpring 7 stage filter system at home, and also helped setup another one for a high traffic organizations. They have both worked well so far, with over two years of run time.
The setup was not too difficult, but given you need to drill into the water drain, and do a lot of work crawling under the sink, it took more than an hour. There were some tutorial videos on the internet, and they really helped. Not all parts are exactly the same (I think iSpring updates their system from time to time), so use your judgement. Also prepare a lot of towels. Learning how to properly use the plastic pipe locks too a while. (Insert the tube fully, until you feel a "click", and then pull back, and place the clamp after that). Also you'll need a 1/2" drill bit for the faucet.
There was an issue with the UV filter. It turns out some municipal water compositions produce ozone when subject to UV light. It is not harmful, and goes by itself, however it makes the taste unpleasant if you don't let the water sit. iSpring's solution was to move the UV stage before the storage tank, so that water would sit to get the taste back. (Their other offer was to replace it). It worked in that configuration, we no longer have the taste issue.
I would also suggest getting additional tubing , some valves , and tee connectors to setup flexible valve to fill larger containers (not everything will fit in your sink. And you might also adapt this to connect to your refrigerator, or even an aquarium, as long as you're careful with the tubing, and check for leaks from time to time. I also added two water pressure meters , one for the input, and one for the output of the system. Basically the output meters gives you an idea on how much water is left in the tank.
On another note, you might need to change filters often if your water supply is not very clean, or use the system at high capacity. It can do 75 gallons per day in theory, but that will require you to change filters in less than 6 months. My other system's filters lasted 9 months with light use though.
Overall, we have been very satisfied with these system, and they have served us well.

After twenty years of refilling three-gallon bottles at one of those supermarket water machines (reverse osmosis with charcoal filter and uv light), we switched last year to this under-sink system. We'd had some questions about how well-maintained the local grocery store water machine was, since whenever it was broken, the new owner took weeks to fix it. We weren't confident that he was changing filters when needed, or that the tubing and parts were being kept clean.
My husband was able to install the new iSpring system in two or three hours, and he's definitely one to dither over decisions about where to put the tank and how to arrange things. It was easier and quicker than he expected. You'll need an electrical outlet under the sink, and you need a hole in the sink deck where the faucet will be installed.
When it was first installed, I noticed the quiet trickling noise as the tank filled, but it's not noisy, and it only runs after you use some water, to replace a bit into the tank. I haven't noticed the noise a single time since then -- like the fridge cycling noises, it just becomes a background noise that nobody notices.
The system been in use for a little bit over a year. Now and then we check that the uv light is still turning on, and now and then we test the water, and it's been trouble-free. The water taste is fine. It's possible that I'd like it better without the slight mineral taste, and I have the option to stop filtering in minerals, but the minerals are healthy. My husband likes the taste. The tank size has been more than adequate for the two of us. We have never had any sort of delay or shortage of water.
When the pandemic hit, we were especially thankful that fetching water was no longer an issue. Evidently purchases of bottled water were skyrocketing, and shelves were emptied. Subsequently, filtration systems went into high demand and also got scarce. When we went to do the annual replacement of the filters, we found that the uv light bulbs had also grown in popularity and were effectively unobtainable. Enter Nick, from iSpring customer service. He helped us to locate and obtain what we needed, without ever giving the impression that he was short of time and needed to get to his other duties.
We're on well water, so we definitely need a good reliable system to process our straight-from-the ground water, and we've been very content with this filtration system.

I spent hours researching and detailing the pros/cons of various RO systems, but finally settled on this model from iSpring. I am on a well and wanted the benefit of the UV light to kill any remaining bacteria, but did not want the water to ever come out of the faucet warm due to the heat of the bulb. This was the problem with their prior models a few years back and customers began complaining about it. But, the engineers at iSpring resolved the issue by adding a flow sensor that turns on/off the bulb only when you turn on the faucet. This not only makes sense, but perhaps even more importantly, demonstrates they are a company who listens to their customers requests and takes action to make their product better. My number 2 choice did not have a bad product overall, but this exact complaint was made to them years ago and every year since (yes I read all their reviews) and yet they keep selling the same unit with that same issue. They only offered a workaround by asking the customer to re-plumb the UV unit earlier in the RO process so hopefully the water would have more time to cool down before coming out of the faucet. I believe I'll be better off long term with iSpring. Probably not really necessary, but I also appreciated the see through canister of the 1st stage filter. These types of perks that no competitors have set them apart in that details from the customers point of view matter to them.
Also, their customer service is better than most. Due to the way my drain pipes for my sink are connected, draining a sink full of water would cause pressure to build up in a way that resulted in some water spurting out from around the drain saddle that the RO system utilized for its waste water. A quick call (with no hold time) to American well spoken English support resulted in me being sent a replacement drain saddle of a slightly different model at no charge that should remedy the issue ... it is being mailed as I type this review.
Also, my family finally enjoys drinking our water ... first time in the 21 years we've been here :-)

Bought this 2 years ago. Best tasting water anyone who tries it has ever had. System works great, would recommend the permeate pump which I have, or get the system with the electric pump. Installed the tap in the top left corner of our two bay metal sink. Can fill pots and pans for cooking easily this way, setting them on the counter. Also connected the fridge water with the kit for that. The ice cubes look visibly clearer with this setup, cool designs too! I would also recommend the in-line tds monitor and pressure gauges at the inlet and outlet of the system. We had the UV ballast and light bulb blow (didn't hear it, just didn't turn on anymore) and contacted support, which sent me a new ballast no charge! This happened after the warranty period. I think our dish sprayer line got the outlet wet. Should have installed GFCI outlet. Just an FYI, something I missed when getting ready to install this... the garbage disposal outlet under a sink is usually ran off a switch and you'll need a separate outlet installed to have constant power, unless you already have an outlet under your sink (recommend GFCI outlet plug). Would buy this again. Filter prices not bad. Changing filters, takes about 20-30 minutes. Every house should have one.

took couple hours to setup. Got a leak in the middle of night! Fortunately we caught that early - maybe about 1 gallon water flooded in the cabinet and on the floor from the storage tank. Part of the blame was I did not pay attention the connector ( two ways) going to storage tank was missing the sleeve and blue clip. I did not think the sleeve could be come off and assumed it might be a special kind connector for the tank route. Well, later I found the sleeve and blue clip left in the plastic bag that wrapped the the head unit. This was a big lesson to learn. The other minor thing was the connection to the UV housing - the flow direction and connecting location was different from the manual. The manual has the in-flow pass through a UV sensor flow switch first to the end of the UV tube (light bulb end as a head), and the output is at the head side. My pre-configured was that the in-flow goes to the head side and the output at the other end with flow switch reversed connected (flow direction in this case is reversed as to the manual). I figured out the UV housing did not have IN or Out directional requirement, so I left it as it was. Overall the system performs well as stated. I decided to go for PH+ for better taste but UV would be a good complement to sanitize water after passing through those pellets in alkalized tube.

This is my second 7-stage RO water filter system, both purchased from Amazon.
This system is excellent: it’s relatively easy to install and has very good instructions included; it includes all the necessary components plus a few extra tube fittings and O-rings in case you need them; it does a good job filtering and treating the water; it produces an adequate supply of treated water (for my needs); iSpring’s customer service is excellent, and; the cost is quite reasonable.
I’ve only run through several tanks of treated water with this system so far, but it is comparable to and, in fact, slightly better than the RO system I bought a few years ago for a vacation house since this system has the automatic valve that turns on and off the UV light so it only operates when water is flowing. This is an improvement over the older system that operates all the time, since it tended to warm up the water between uses.
I had a minor dripping issue that iSpring’s customer service representatives helped me resolve. They were very helpful and pleasant, responding in a timely manner to both eMail and telephone inquiries. 5 stars for iSpring.
Now on to my 2 star rating for Amazon. I have purchased hundreds of items from Amazon over the last 10 years, and am obviously a big fan. This includes probably 50 or so items bought in so-called “Used - Like New” condition, which have generally been a very good value.
I bought this system in Used-Like New condition from Amazon Warehouse Deals, which turned out to be a mistake. The unit did arrive in Used - Like New condition. Unfortunately, the previous purchaser unpackaged the RO membrane filter, which allowed it to dry out, thus making it inoperative (thank you iSpring for helping me figure out that this was the source of my problems). I contacted Amazon but they refused to compensate me for the modest cost of replacing this filter plus a few O-rings, all of which were not in Used - Like New condition and needed replacement. My only option was to either uninstall and return the entire system or absorb the cost myself. Anyone who has installed one of these units knows how much work is involved, which in my opinion wasn’t worth the trouble.
My recommendations? Buy one of these systems new and enjoy it. They work well and are a good value. Don’t even consider buying one of these systems in a Used - Like New condition. It’s simply not worth it.
Regards, Mark

Does this Reverse Osmosis water filter have the UV Sensor to turn on and off the UV light when not in use?Yes, the RCC7AK-UV has been equipped with a transformer that turns on and off UV light automatically along with the water flow since Jan 2014. This feature prevents a potential heat hazard and extends the life of the UV light bulb. Does this RO water system remove asbestos crystals from the water? It is like an egg can't pass cheesecloth. The size of asbestos fiber ranges from 0.1 - 1 micron, which is at least 100 times larger than the RO membrane pores at 0.0001 micron. Does the tank contain a food grade butyl bladder? If so, does the bladder need to be cleaned every year? How do you go about doing that?To clean the residential RO machine and bladder is the same. Remove the filters and put 3 tbs of bleach (1 tbs in each vertical filter housing) mixed with water until the system and tank are full of this disinfecting solution. Let it sit for 1-2 hours and then rinse the system and tank twice. Our well tested positive for total cloriform, negative for e. coli. Did this system solve anyone elses total cloriform problem? While reverse osmosis can remove microorganisms. However, it is not recommended for that use, as bacteria can grow through the membrane. Can this Reverse Osmosis water filtration system be installed in a basement location appoximately 9 feet below the sink? Will the pressure be enough to have flow from the faucet?Yes. The RO system can be installed in a basement location, but the water flow will be slower. We recommend to install a booster pump to bring the water pressure back. I am installing new granite countertop, what size hole should they make for the faucet of this product? If you're drilling a new hole, the perfect size is 1/2 inch, however you can also cover any existing hole up to 2 inches if you have any unused soap dispenser or something else you can use. Can the booster pump be attached separately? This Reverse Osmosis filter system may still work when source water pressure is as low as 35 psi, but it won't be efficient especially water temperature drops below 60F. Adding a booster pump requires wiring and tubing connections. It could be more error prone for a ordinary customer so we would prefer to do it for you. If you have any more questions, please contact us at (678)261-7611 or open a ticket here. Does the 3.2 gallon tank accommodate for a family of 4? I'm worried about not having enough water when I need it.Yes. This 3.2 gallon tank is a good option for a household of 4. I was wondering if this Reverse Osmosis water filter system has ever been tested for BPA or any other plastic derivatives? There is plastic in the filter, and it is warm. All plastic parts are made with food grade material and BPA free. Is the bad taste still an issue with the under sink Reverse Osmosis UV filter? There wouldn't have any bad taste should you followed the instruction to flush the RO filter system in advance. If you followed the directions and still have this bad taste issue, please contact us at (678)261-7611 or open a ticket here. My incoming water pressure is 70psi. Do I need the booster pump to decrease water waste and increase efficiency? No, you will be fine. The domestic RO water filter system works for the water pressure range from 45psi to 70 psi. Will this RO water purifier for kitchen kill virus?According to CDC, Reverse Osmosis filtration systems have a very high effectiveness in removing viruses (for example, Enteric, Hepatitis A, Norovirus, Rotavirus); the pore size of the RO membrane is approximately 0.0001 micron. You can find more info on CDC website. Is there a cartridge to increase the alkalinity?Yes, there is one stage of Alkaline filter, which will add health minerals back to your water. Will this Reverse Osmosis water purifier remove fluoride, lead and aluminum please?Yes. A Reverse Osmosis (RO) system can remove 99% fluoride, 98% aluminum, and 98% lead in water. Do I have any worry for having a well, plus a home filtration (salt) to remove heavy iron? The RCC7AK-UV Reverse Osmosis drinking water system can remove up to 99% of 1,000 different contaminant in water. Yes, it will remove salt and heavy iron. What is the pH level of the water this under sink Reverse Osmosis system produces? The final pH of the product water is entirely dependent on the quality of your source water. On average, the mineral cartridge will raise your pH by 0.5-0.8 but this will vary between customers depending on individual water chemistry. Where can I get replacement filters or uv bulbs for this RO filtration system? You can find the Ultraviolet UV lamp here. Is this NSF Certified?Yes, the under sink RO system RCC7AK-UV is certified to NSF/ANSI 58 for TDS reduction (58 for reverse osmosis). I bought my Reverse Osmosis unit 2 years ago. the gac filter housing has a pinhole leak at the bottom of the housing. how do i buy a new one of those? You can find the Reverse Osmosis water purification system housing here: White housing Clear housing Is there a difference between this ispring brand and other brands? Why is the price gap so dramatic?Since 2005, iSpring has brought the price of an average Reverse Osmosis filter down from $700 range. We bypass middlemen, sell direct online, cut advertising and live up with customer reviews by continuous improvements. We are doing what we want to do, that is, make clean water available and affordable to more people. We believe in long term value. |
