I called and talked to Nick in customer service at iSpring while I was shopping for a water filtration system. Nick was very helpful. He answered my multitude of questions about filter cartridges, the different options iSpring offers, and about iSpring's anti-scaler. Nick is also very knowledgeable about all of iSpring's products. Nick even pointed me in the direction of a local resource for water testing when I voiced some of my concerns about our well water. One of the main reasons that I chose to go with iSpring is Nick's availability on the phone and his quick responses to the emails that I sent him (with yet more questions). I ended up buying the WGB32B-KS filter, WSP50ARB sediment trap, and the WDS-150 anti-scaler. I knew the installation was not for novices. This isn't my first water system, so I knew that it was going to take a bit of work. From a "handyman" perspective, I felt that the install was fairly easy. I read a few reviews prior to purchasing that some folks had problems with the fittings not sealing in the unit. I'm not sure what they did, but I used Teflon tape and a little bit of pipe sealer, and haven't had any problems. No leaks. On a not-so-positive note, when I got ready for the install, I unboxed the cartridge only to find that it was damaged. I sent a picture to Nick and he responded in less than 24 hours that iSpring will replace it under warranty. It's already on its way. I have nothing but good things to say about the customer service received so far. Once the replacement cartridge arrives and I have had time to notice results, I will update this review.

I added this single iSpring anti scale filter as an addition to a previously installed triple iSpring filter system. The previous purchase was a sediment, carbon, and iron/manganese triple filter system. This one now adds a poly phosphate inserter which really removes the scale and makes the water a lot softer. It is not actually a filter, but the cartridge (which is heavy) has poly phosphate beads that dissolve into the water. This is typical of city water systems everywhere and has been around for a long time. Easy to install just like the others, and works really well. The replacement cartridges for the anti scale are expensive, but should last a year. Probably much less expensive though than scale buildup damaging all your water appliances, hot water heater, and faucets. If water scaling is an issue, I would highly recommend this product.

After a few trips to Home Depot for the right tools it was installed in an afternoon along with the the whole house filter. Enjoying it so far, my skin isn’t so dry feeling.

I also purchased the iSpring 50 micron spin down filter. Easily installed both of those with a 20 micron carbon filter in between. Overall water flow and pressure are good. Water seems softer than before, but still has a very faint metalic taste. I attribute that to the carbon filter, not the two iSpring products. I probably need to move up to a larger carbon filter (iSpring WGB12B).
Scale buildup seems less, but I have not really paid a lot of attention to it.

I was hesitated when buying this system but I am so glad I decided to purchase it. We used to clean our kettle, dishwasher, faucets, shower, etc. every week because of the hard water. But with a new born baby, we don't have the time to do this anymore. And we think hard water may hurt her skin. This wds80k anti scale water filter works like a charm. It's been a few weeks since installation and it frees us from cleaning so we can spend more time with the baby!

I was hesitated when buying this system but I am so glad I decided to purchase it. We used to clean our kettle, dishwasher, faucets, shower, etc. every week because of the hard water.
