Great product. There is a very noticeable difference in water quality, from drinking to showering to washing clothes and dishes. The product is large, so make sure you have the room to accommodate it. I added a shutoff valve on the water main before the filter, added a regulator (our pressure was 150psi! The filter's range is 40-90psi. I set mine to 65psi.), installed a water pressure gauge just after the regulator, installed a bypass for the system (just in case), then another pressure gauge to help monitor differentials before and after filter (should help determine when its time to change the filters), and then finally another shutoff valve after the system so that the filter can be isolated for filter changing or other maintenance (with only a shutoff valve before the filter, be prepared for all the lines in your house to drain back to the system). Its a project and requires some know-how... expect to spend several hours on it, especially if your situation is similar to mine (my water main came in to the house in the worst spot in the crawlspace, so I rerouted it so that its closer to the entrance.). If it seems daunting, I would get a professional to install it for you. But again, its a great product and a great investment in your home. Well worth it!

Installing this was pretty simple, provided you have the right tools. If you're handy with tools and prefer DIY projects, this one is fairly easy. I did a lot of research on water purifiers, and settled with this one because you can easily replace the filters when necessary. After installing it, I purged the water lines for about five minutes. Using a TDS water tester, I checked to see if there was an improvement in water quality. TDS reading prior to installation was around 700 ppm, which is actually toxic. TDS readings after installation/purging was 450 ppm, which is consistent with standard municipal water purity standards.

I live in New Hampshire and have a Artesian well that is 500 feet deep so my water has a high iron, surfer and magnesium content that causes a rotten egg smell and taste, before installing this system. I also use a water softener that removes the iron in the water. All said and done the water in my house smells and tastes great. Before drinking the water it should be tested to make sure it is drinkable. The directions are easy to follow and the parts are heavy and sturdy but there is one down fall and that's the cost of the filters once a year but I don't have to worry about that for a while. Each filter does have a bleed off valve to let the air escape after the installation or changing the filters.

We ordered this system along with a UV Sterilizer filter for an older home that I purchased in the mountains of North Carolina which is spring water fed. We added a sediment prefilter to ensure little or no sediment gets into the system. The system works great and the water smells and tastes great! It's so nice to have peace of mind and not have to buy bottled water. A note on iSpring Customer Service - when my plumber was installing the filters he accidentally hooked the UV filter up to a 220 volt power source which was improperly marked (very old house with major electrical work going on to fix the previous owner's mistakes) and it fried the transformer. He also broke one of the clips that hold the UV filter. I called Andrew at iSpring and he immediately sent out replacement parts. I could not be happier with the product and iSpring's customer service. I highly recommend this product.

Our son was born with eczema and it got worse as he got older. After awhile, he would start to cry at bath time. (Our Dr. told us to do daily baths to keep him moisturized). This was becoming a challenge for him and us as well. The rash got worse and the only thing we could think of was the smell and discoloration of fixtures coming from the municipal water system, (ie. chlorine, and red/orange discoloring in our new white tub). After doing lots of research, we decided iSpring was in our budget, and worth trying. We purchased the big blue 3-stage whole house water filter. WE WERE AMAZED INSTANTLY! No more chlorine mouth rinsing, and no more discoloration on our tub and sinks. Bath time got a lot easier after about a month. We are so truly appreciative of this product and its ease of installation and use, (yes, i installed it my self). I will say that I am handy, but not a plumber by any means. With some parts from Home Depot, and a few YouTube Videos, we had success! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE WHO HAS MUNICIPAL WATER, or anyone just trying to have high quality filtered water threw there home. I have included pics of my system installed and our first filter change. This is the second or third product I have ever reviewed in my life, but felt compelled after seeing the filters in action. The used filters are in order from 1-3 old and new, sediment, 5 micron carbon, 5 micron carbon. Not sure why but pics are upside down, sorry.

Good system. Filters have maintained a steady flow since installation in April. I have not seen any drop in water pressure. The company backs up there product too; we had a leak in the initial unit and they sent another filter system out no charge with free return shipping on the faulty unit. They also paid to have it installed. Outstanding!

Overall I am happy with the filter system. I installed this in combination with a 50 micron spin down pre-filter and a downstream iSpring UV sterilizer. I have a dug well which has the potential for surface water contamination and I feel very comfortable drinking the water from the tap now. The 1" FPT inlet and outlet didn't seal too well for me. I have a small intermittent drip from the outlet. I installed the spin down filter directly into the inlet which is a terrible idea. iSpring say you can do it, but it makes it so close you can't get the filter wrench on it. Also, the threads on the spin down filter are very short and were difficult to get sealed into the filter housing.

The doctor suggested that we get the water tested as a last resort for trying to find the source of a chronic lung infection. We sent a sample to the Dept of Environmental Protection (DEP) to get the well water tested... the Microbiologist called us and told us to NOT drink or even bathe in it. We had a huge water problem.. we later found that the neighboring farmer switched from raw manure to spraying liquid manure, and that got into our well. We spoke to another farmer who runs a dairy farm, he said dairy farms run their water thru Ultra-Violet lights. We called many companies that offer whole-house water filtration systems, but ISpring was the best in price, products, quality, and customer service. 30 days after it was installed we sent another sample to the DEP, the Microbiologist couldn't believe it was the same water, having 0% contaminants. We have had this system for 3 years now and have it tested every 6 months, it's still clear. This filtration system didn't just make life better, it saved our home and a life. The ISpring company actually have "real people" who answer the phone. Their Business number is (678) 261-7611. We spoke to "Nick", and must have asked him a million questions. We purchased the ispring WGB32B 3-stage whole house filtration system with the big 20" filters, the water has never taste so clear and clean! We added 2 Ultraviolet bulbs as well, a bit much, but we had to make sure the water is as clear as we could get it. The sediment filter does a great job, we use it after the spin-down filter. For the 20" filters, we use the Sediment filter, Carbon filter, and the iron/Magnese filter. I could go on and on, but this filtration system is the best thing we have ever purchased for our farm. I highly recommend the iSpring products. Their staff is well educated in all applications.

Great filter! Really makes a difference. We have city water supply, it smells, contains lots of chlorine and is overall really bad. After installing this - water quality changed completely. It doesn't smell. It doesn't irritate your skin. It doesn't leave those scale deposits anymore. It's actually drinkable, really drinkable good, high quality water. We still use the under-the-sink RO filter for drinking water (with alkaline mineralization of course) though. The only minor flaw in this product is that threading on both ends are plastic, not brass, so when installing it require some care so not to damage plastic threading. Other than that - it's a great product and great value for the buck.

Satisfied customer! As soon as this unit was installed, I can feel the difference on my hands. Combined with a softener, the water quality for the whole house has greatly improved. I went with this unit because of the 20 inch filter size and the 1 inch pipe connections so there will be no reduction in water pressure. This unit is heavy by itself, and especially with water in it after you've installed it, so make sure you screw it into strong studs or install it over plywood over the drywall like I did. I added a typical 3 valve bypass loop, and then took it further and added a fourth valve and a hose bib. The fourth valve is used to close the supply to the house when changing filters. I can close the fourth valve and connect a hose to the bib, run it to the street, and relieve the pressure to make it easier to change the filters. After changing the filters, I can run the water through the hose for ten minutes to flush out the carbon dust without worrying about the dust going to the water softener or to the rest of the house. I can also add a pressure valve to the bib to test the water pressure. You will need to buy and add silicon faucet grease to the O-rings and use the included wrench to fully tighten the cartridges to ensure no leaks. When I received the unit, the ends of the carbon filters were cracked from packing and shipping. One email to customer service and the issue was resolved; they immediately shipped out replacement filters. Their customer service is great and attentive! Take a look at the photo and video of my setup.

Does WGB32B whole house water filter system address TDS reduction? No, it doesn't. Only RO systems will lower TDS levels. You can find our best Reverse Osmosis system here. What is the difference between 10 inch whole house filter and 20 inch whole house system? The main difference is the capacity of the cartridges. The WGB21B 10'' inch home water purification system has 10'' X 4.5'' cartridges that feature 50,000 gallons of water capacity, while the 20'' whole house cartridges feature around 100,000 gallons of water capacity. The average American household water consumption is approximately 300 gallons per day. Therefore, the cartridges inside of the WGB21B would last 50,000/300=166 days (Around 6 months) on average. If your family consumes more water than 300 gallons per day, you may need a 20'' whole house system to fulfill your needs. You may need to look at your water bill to figure out how much water your family consumes monthly. Will WGB32B whole house water filtration system decrease water pressure to the house? It should not. If you experience significant pressure loss, please let us know. What are the water pressure requirements for the WGB32B residential water treatment systems to work? The feed water pressure needs to be between 25 psi and 80 psi. Is this domestic water purification system suitable for well water? This whole house water purification system can filter both city water and well water. However, it doesn't filter out viruses and bacteria. For well water, a whole house UV stage (#UVF55FS) is recommended. Will the WGB32B whole home water systems help with high sediment in well water? It will help, but depending on how much sediment you have, it may exhaust the filters quickly and cause you to replace the filter frequently. In this case, you may want to look into purchasing a spin-down sediment pre-filter (e.g., WSP50). It will help trap more sediment and extend the life of your other filters. Does WGB32B home water filtration system work on hot water? No, we do not recommend installing a water filter for home to filter hot water as the high temperature can damage the carbon block filter. The operating temperature for the whole house system is 40 - 100°F. Does this water filter system for home filter fluoride? This whole home water filter system does not remove fluoride. You will need a Reverse Osmosis system to remove fluoride. You can find our best Reverse Osmosis system here. Does WGB32B home water treatment system filter calcium for hard water? No. You need a water softener to filter out calcium. Please check out iSpring WCS45KG whole house water softener here. Does this whole house water system reduce Chlorine?Yes, the CTO carbon block filters remove chlorine, cloudiness, odor, taste, and other contaminants. Will the WGB32B water purifier for home remove the hydrogen sulfide (rotten eggs) smell?Yes, but it might shorten the filter life. If there is a strong rotten egg smell in your water, we recommend installing WGB32B-KS or WF150K whole house filtration systems instead. Does the WGB32B home water system remove iron, lead, and other heavy metals? The whole house filter system WGB32B is designed for water issues with contaminants that create foul tastes, stains, and odors. Please check out WGB32BM, WGB32B-PB, and WGB32B-KS for removing pollutants such as iron, lead, manganese, and other metals or heavy metals. Is WGB32B whole home water filtration system a water softener? No. If you need a water softener or saltless water descaler, please check out here. Is the flow left to right, right to left, or can it go either way?Right to left, but you could switch the bracket to change direction. Can this water filter be installed on the exterior of a house? My house has no basement or crawl space, just a concrete slab.We would not recommend installing the system outdoors or anywhere where the system would be exposed to the elements, such as freezing temperatures, UV damage, and other forces of nature. Where do I install the system? You should install where the main water line comes into the house before it splits to the water heater or other plumbing. Will WGB32B home water purification systems \"easy\" to install? I am not a plumber, and it's so difficult to find one.You can install the home water purification systems by yourself if you have some plumbing knowledge. Will the inlet and outlet accept threaded PVC couplings?Yes. As long as they are 1\" threads, it will work. Do I need a storage tank for this whole home water filtration system? Our whole house water filtration systems have a large water flow capacity and do not require a storage tank. In what order do the replacement filters go?For WGB32B, the water flow goes to the polypropylene (PP) filter first, then the carbon block (CTO) filters. Do all filters need to be changed at the same time? No, they don't. What size O-ring does WGB32B home filtration system use?O.D.: 5-3/4\", the model number of this O-ring from iSpring is ORBX2. How often do I need to replace the cartridges? It depends on the quality of your feed water. Typically, for a standard American household, the filters can last around one full year. If you notice the output water pressure drops significantly, it is time to replace the filter cartridges. Why did my output water pressure drop a lot?If this water cleaning system was just installed, it could be that the filters were installed incorrectly, or a piece of the plastic wrapping is still protecting the filter cartridges. If you installed the filter a few weeks ago and suddenly the pressure dropped, it can be due to clogged filters. |
